The coaching
Individual coaching for track and road runners, from middle distance through to the marathon.
Who it is for

I coach sub-elite track and road runners, experienced masters athletes and runners pursuing significant personal bests, Championship places or Good for Age qualification. Different athletes need different work, but what they share is that improvement genuinely matters to them.
The best fit is an athlete prepared to communicate honestly, engage with the whole process and accept that progress is rarely a perfectly straight line.
How it works
We begin with your history, ambitions, current capacity and the circumstances in which the training must work. The person comes before the programme.
Training is shaped around the adaptations required, with volume, intensity, sequencing and mechanical demands considered together rather than in isolation.
Observation extends beyond completed sessions to the habits and behaviours that determine the return from them. Where these limit adaptation and the athlete’s ability to realise their potential, we identify them, challenge them directly and help the athlete build better habits.
Good coaching changes as the athlete changes. Progression, restraint and the occasional decision to do less are all part of keeping adaptation moving.
